Using the service
Terms of use
Last updated: 7 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Knitglass, a knitting-pattern conversion and row-companion service operated by Beeju. By accessing Knitglass or signing in, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian, to use Knitglass. Sign-in is provided through a supported Google or personal Microsoft account. You are responsible for protecting that provider account and for activity performed through your Knitglass account.
2. What Knitglass provides
Knitglass converts supported knitting patterns into trackable rows, stores processed sizes, and provides chart, progress, gauge and note tools. Access to uploading and conversion may be limited to administrators. Other users may see only patterns and processed sizes shared with them, including patterns unlocked using a promotion code.
The service may change as conversion and recovery tools improve. We may add, modify, suspend or remove functions where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance or product development.
3. Pattern rights and permitted use
Patterns remain the property of their authors, designers and publishers. You must upload or process a pattern only when you have lawful access and all permission required for that use. Do not use Knitglass to copy, distribute, publish, sell or share copyrighted material unlawfully.
You retain rights in material you lawfully provide. You give Knitglass a limited permission to host, copy, analyse, convert and display that material only as needed to provide, secure and support the service. Shared patterns may be viewed by the authenticated users authorised by Knitglass.
4. AI-assisted conversion and knitting safety
Pattern transcription is assisted by automated systems and can contain missing rows, incorrect stitch symbols, sizing errors or other mistakes. “Ready,” “verified” or similar product labels describe application checks; they are not a guarantee that a conversion is error-free.
Always compare instructions with the original pattern before and during knitting, especially for stitch counts, decreases, increases, shaping and size selection. Knitglass is a companion tool, not a replacement for the source pattern or professional instruction.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- upload material you are not authorised to use;
- attempt to access another person’s account or restricted pattern;
- share, guess, automate or abuse promotion codes or access controls;
- interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, introduce malware or overwhelm its infrastructure;
- use converted output to infringe rights, mislead others or break applicable law.
6. Availability, deletion and suspension
We aim to keep Knitglass available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Keep your original pattern and any information you cannot afford to lose. Administrators may remove failed, duplicate, unlawful or inactive content and may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, rights holders or the service.
You can request deletion of applicable account information through the contact form. Some limited records may be retained where required by law, security or dispute resolution.
7. Voluntary support
The Buy Me a Coffee link is an optional way to support Beeju. A contribution does not purchase pattern rights, guaranteed availability, priority support or additional Knitglass functionality unless expressly stated. Payments are handled by Buy Me a Coffee under its own terms.
8. Third-party services
Knitglass relies on third parties for sign-in, hosting, storage and AI processing. Their services may have separate terms and privacy notices. External links are provided for convenience; we do not control their content or availability.
9. Disclaimers and responsibility
Knitglass is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties that are not expressly stated here. We are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on an inaccurate conversion, failure to retain the original pattern, unauthorised account access outside our reasonable control, or third-party services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights or liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Changes and disputes
We may update these terms to reflect service, security or legal changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights in your country remain unaffected.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form.
