Knitglass is a small, independent project made by two people and supervised by one dog. We are knitters, makers and builders trying to make following a pattern feel calmer—one clear, markable row at a time.

Our very small team
Knitglass combines lived knitting experience with careful technology. When something is confusing, awkward or simply wrong, it reaches a real person.
Co-founder · Knit and support goddess
Jude brings the knitting knowledge and the patient human support. She tests Knitglass against real patterns, spots where knitter logic and computer logic part company, and keeps the experience focused on what helps when your hands are full of yarn.
Co-founder · Tech
Clive builds the technology behind Knitglass: pattern processing, chart reading, the row companion, offline support and all the less-visible plumbing that keeps it running. He turns Jude’s practical knitting feedback into working software.
Portuguese Water Dog · Morale and screen-break lead
Otto is our Italian! PWD and handles morale, compulsory screen breaks and independent quality assurance from the nearest comfortable spot. He has not approved a pull request yet, but his standards remain extremely high.

Knitglass mascot
Beeju is our handmade guide: warm, practical and happiest surrounded by yarn. The original crocheted bee inspired the friendly character at the heart of Knitglass.
Tech-side mascot
BeeTech looks after the digital end of the hive, where pattern logic, charts and code meet. Same handmade bee, with a little more screen glow.
Why we’re making it
Knitting patterns hold charts, shorthand, changing stitch counts, size-specific instructions and things that happen “at the same time.” Knitglass brings the source pattern, current row, notes and progress together without pretending the original pattern no longer matters.
We are building it in the open-ended, practical way most handmade things grow: use it, notice what is awkward, improve it, and try again.
